Since we live in a paper-oriented social set-up, yes. Even when you are a billionaire but holds no Doctor of this or Doctor of that, the so-called professionals will sneer at your back but will pant for your grants. Success in life is not measured by money or possession alone, though. Neither is it facilitated by education alone. I'd consider myself successful when I am contented... no complaints, no worries, any problem arising could be solved without even lifting a finger (some sycophant will deal with this, sooner or later).

First define success. You dont need an education to define success. Education is just one vehicle to get you where you want to be. It becomes more important because the way society defines success is increasingly tied to know how and expertise. But if you want to be the best guy in folding deck chairs on the beach and take pride in bladers knowing you by name, then that is as good a success as can be.

I believe that one can not be truly happy in life without a decent education. So, based on my beliefs, yes, one does not need an education to be successful and happy in life. However, this is just my belief, and may be completely untrue or true. I have yet to find out for myself, as I'm still in high school and still getting an education.

Usually. Education is broad. Most people who are older and successful (the ones I've met) never went to college. But they had to learn their craft from somewhere at some point in thier lives.

This is the case because the education system is desighned to dumb kids down and condition them to be controlled.
