No. I know quite a few people that did not go to college and are a lot happier than those that went. It's all up to the individual.

No, of course not. There are a lot of professions made up of successful people who didn't go to college -- plumbers and auto mechanics for example make good money. Even many singers and actors don't have college educations yet are multi-millionaires -- Tom Cruise didn't even graduate high school and he's doing well.
However, for some jobs you do need a college education, so if a job where a college degree is required is the one that would make you the happiest, then I think you should go to college. I couldn't really imagine liking many jobs other than the one I have and I needed a college degree to get hired.

I read some poll in the National Review, of all places, that read that %15 of those who are smart will go on to be smart and rich, regardless of education. Meaning, if you mean to make it and you're smart you'll be rich, college or not.
I'm a genius, the papers I have say it. I quit college because it was, well, insulting.
I worked crappy, but good paying jobs. Got laid off ala 2001. I thought: crap, that ain't gonna work. I went and worked my *** off for free, with no money for two years. I now have a rad profession, in which I'm well along my way. I'm good at stuff that other people don't understand and I can cash in on it.
Am I happy? Yeah. Real happy considering what I was considering. I can do the things that I always dreamed of being able to do. And I got insurance so I can get my teeth fixed. Got a love, good animals...family's cool; gotta good, working car.... I can't complain.
I'll tell ya though, if I had been doin' what I was thinkin' I'd have my hands in a glove box as a graduate student, with no no-how as to what I was really working on, which, really, would be a nuke bomb that would one day kill people. Blank that. I'm gonna go grab my rad-*** high tech equipment and go do things with it this weekend, to make money. It's harmless and my friends'll be there. It'll take me a few hours to edit it and I'l be golden. In the meantime I can go to work and study my tech books in my private office, while drinking my V8 and occasionally glancing up at my robot posters. So yeah, I'm freaking fine bro. Do what's in your heart and do it well. So many ******* just stop when they get some learning under them. It doesn't seem like too many people really, really want to live a dream....

No, My Mom works in an industry where most of the people she works with have degrees, and she doesnt. She just worked hard throughout her years and gained a LOT of knowledge through experience.
I know some people that had a hard time getting a good job because they lacked experience. Why? Because they were in school.
Im not knocking college. I think college is very important, but I dont think its the ONLY true path to success and happiness.

Nope, No college have great job. Earn mid 100's. Love life. Good wife. The only thing college could have given me, I wouldn't mind being a doctor, but not willing to put in all of the year to do so. If I went to school earlier in life, the years would not be very many. Now too many.

Yes, because now a days you need a degree in something just to get a good paying job.=(
Not everyone has the mind set to start their own business. If its something that the person really wants to do like be a teacher than you have to go to college to get a degree. Same as if you wanted to be a doctor or lawyer.

Not at all. I know a lot of people who just werent meant for college that lead very successful and fulfilling lives. Many people go to a vocational school for high school and are trained in a profession so that they dont really have to go to college. Other people just already know what they are good at and want to do when they are right out of high school and dont see a need to attend college. And still others just can't afford it or just cant make college work with their personalities and still go on to lead really great lives.
