his songs for the first time and I'm totally loving them- is this guy really popular and if so, do only gay guys like him? Is he gay himself?

Welcome to the world of Robbie! I can't believ America doesn't really know him!
There have been rumours of him being gay but I don't think he is - he's just a total player.
He used to be in a boy-band years ago but got the boot and is now more famous than any of the others in the group.
You should get America to love him...he is an amazing talent and a bit difeerwent from all those bloody (sorry i'm australian) talentless hip hop/r&b artists.

He's from England. He's been a solo artist for almost 10 years now and before that he was a member of Take That, a boy band in the nineties. They only had one or 2 songs played in Canada and the US. But Robbie Williams has had a few hits in North America. Angels came out in 96 or 97. Oh and he is not gay.

Robbie's the most successful member of his previous group (Take That). All but 2 of his 25 singles have been UK Top 10 hits, including six number ones. Based on concert footage, I would estimate that most of his fans are female. There are rumours that Robbie is gay, but he successfully sued British tabloids for this.

Are you serious? Of course Robbie's popular. I think he would just about be one of the most popular artisits (in Australia anyway). He has been popular for about 5 years here. ALl his songs ROCK! If you like his stuff now, go listen to some of his older songs. Rock DJ, Angels, Let me Entertain you etc etc etc.

& no he's not gay. He is very lucky with the ladies. He went out with Rachel Hunter for a while (NZ model).

Well, I've heard about him since about 1998 (and I live in Peru!) so yes, I think he's very popular :) As far as I know, most of his audience is formed by teenage girls and he's not gay at all. Actually, he seems to have a rather active heterosexual life, according to the tabloids...

He used to be in some brit pop group called Take That.
As for his sexuality... who knows? But if he was gay, would it really matter?
