Me and my husband are trying to conceive after having a miscarriage last year in October, in my 3rd month of pregnancy. My pd. was on the 14th and I think I am past my ovulation days. Anyone have any tips? Any suggestions would be helpful...

Don't hop up and run to the bathroom right after you make love. Lying down with elevated hips for about 5 minutes after intercourse increases the odds that the sperm will be able to keep their date with the awaiting egg and that you'll win at baby roulette. Make love often during your fertile period (the five days leading up to ovulation). If you've got the stamina to make love at least every 48 hours, you will ensure that there's a fresh shipment of sperm waiting in the fallopian tube at any given time.

Make your vaginal environment as sperm-friendly as possible. Avoid vaginal sprays and scented tampons (which can cause a pH imbalance in your vagina); artificial lubricants, and douching (because it alters the normal acidity of the vagina; and may wash away the cervical mucus that is needed to transport the sperm).

Big Tip: Try to orgasm AFTER he does, the contractions which accompany your orgasm helps greatly to draw the sperm up and into the cervix.

Don't worry about exact ovulation days. They have found that sperm can live for up to 10 days inside you, and you can ovulate for a period of up to 5 days. So, if you overlap those numbers, you see there's up to a 2-week period during which you could get pregnant.

Have sex once a day to give the sperm a chance to build up in between tries.

Just relax and know that it wil happen when it is supposed to happen. I know it is hard, we miscarried in November after three months of pregnancy, it was awful! Once you learn to relax and enjoy the process you will feel much better about waiting to get pregnant again. Keep doing the deed during your peak days and check out this website.
