The difference between him and Joe Shmoe off the street, is he knows that little extra, and is good at misdirection. He is not a prophet, or the anti Christ. His tricks are based on being able to do things while people have their attention on something else, optical illusions, and so forth... The mind reading could be based on "priming the target", where little things, (billboards, people in the vicinity having scripted conversations, etc...) Priming someone, is not hypnosis, but it does make ones mind, focus on a train of thought. To learn more about it I would suggest reading
Blink, by Malcolm Gladwell.

I've never heard Chris Angel speak of Christ in any way--good or bad, so he can't be a false prophet. And to be the anti-Christ, he would have to be evil and he's not. He's just a guy trying to make a buck by fooling people. He is an illusionist--a magician and that's all. The things you see on tv are not real. Wake up.

Your Friend Needs To Get A Gripe On Reality.. Chris Angel IS Just an Illusionist... Like David Cooperfield. He has nothing what soever to do with the Occult or Religion! By the way He's Very Good at It.

oh..thats bull crap

Chris Angel is a new style magician, he practises his tricks on the streets in front of real people on real tv. And he is amazing at it. Just because his hair is black and his clothes are black doesnt mean that hes anti-christ, and lets just say that he was...its not like hes telling people not to believe in christ

hes just making a living off of what he practiced for his life

he is NOT persuading anyone to be anything but themselves

He's a dude that wants to get chicks by being a magician, acting like a mysterious figure similar to Johnny Depp.

Shouldn't your friend be more worried about modern science proving his ancient texts wrong?

He's an entertainer! He does tricks! They may be better than pulling a rabbit out of hat, but they're still just tricks.
