Why is it that certain people just happen to be the ones that get told about everything, while others are left in the dark. I'm trying to figure out what makes it so much easier to talk to some people than others. Any ideas on contributing factors to approachability?

People that have self-confidence are in my opinion more approachable. They do not build walls because they do not fear others.

I think the most contributing factor to approachability, would be confidence. We are either in a process at work, gaining knowledge to apply to the skill to enhance the behaviour of confidence. The more we obtain the more we apply, the easier the skill until we master the behaviour, and become confident. That's my opinion. Thanks for asking.

Attractiveness and receptiveness. Of course, the attractive one is going to be told about parties, etc. and the latest social gossip, since people of their "class" need to be up-to-date on this stuff.
Receptiveness comes in to play more, when somebody has a dirty secret, or something they want to get off of their chest. Also sometimes this comes into play when asking for advice. I am generally the last to know about the next time this group's going out to party, etc., but when emotional breakdown time hits, hey, I'm tops on the list. Of course, it's the old soundboard technique (bouncing ideas off of someone as more of a means of therapy for yourself, etc.).

I feel that it is the way of their approach or the attitude of the person. A person who is free and friendly and also a bit naughty will be best approachable person. Pls check out!!!!!

i believe that its part attitude, liking oneself and others
or to simplify love.. we naturally gravitate to people that smile, that are attractive and open.. given that it may be a not so good day on some days.

i've been on both sides, that is friendly and open and reserve and somewhat reserved..
then too its about being an effective listener perhaps this ? could be posed to those that are good listeners clergy, doctors and the such

First of all, their looks.
Get past that, and it will be their expressions (smiling, frowning, etc)
Beyond that, attitude (good study habits, like to tell jokes).
Still past that, their soul (ex: kindhearted by nature, yet serious).

And past that... The next person - hahahaha.

Be more sociable and carry chocolate bars, cigarettes, and condoms with you all the time. Talk to more people and question openly.
