It is much easier for to tell someone that I love them than to have to tell someone that I don't love them back. I always feel so bad for the person that I don't love. Unfortunately, I have to go through this all the time because I have a student who thinks he is in love with me and he tells me all the time that he loves me and wishes he was my boyfriend. If I tell someone that I love them and they say they don't love me, I appreciate their honesty and move on.

Love them. Why would it be hard for you to tell them you don't love them back when you don't love them?

Haven't had to do the second one but I suppose if you are a sensitive person, to tell somebody who loves you, that you do not reciprocate should be difficult. But it is a necessary evil...You don't like to do it but you have to, if there is a valid reason for doing so...
