In order to be successful in life, if you had to choose between skills and heart, which would you choose?

In my opinion, skills are good and all, but without a heart, you don't have anything. If you have the heart to do what's right, then you can go anywhere in life.

How about you?

Heart, with preserverance you can succeed in anything. "Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than the unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent." - Calvin Coolidge

Heart because skills come along the way and the only way they do that is if you persevere and that takes heart.

I choose to have heart, because skills can be learned. As far as heart goes, you either have it or you don't.

Depends. Are we talking about the surgeon who's going to fix my heart or my beloved's brain? I don't care if they're a real-life version of Dr. Gregory House if they've got skills.

But in general, a willingness to learn beats someone who thinks they already know it all.
