I'm glad the news and docs and movies have burdened your memory these past 5 years. Don't forget that day. You may need that memory. Good night.

only liberals forgot 9-11

That's not a question. Anyway, it's not like anyone is going to forget what happened that day. I think what people object to is more that it's being used as an excuse to drum up support for a conservative agenda, and being talked about far more than is necessary in a context where it shouldn't come up at all. It's a terrrible tragedy that those people died, but that's no reason to ban abortion or losen gun control laws. What's been shoved down our throats these past five years are the ignorant rantings of patriotic lemmings such as yourself, and the agenda of the Christian right who seems to think that the events of 9/11 means we have to do everything their way even though it's the conservative policies that are what had the terrorists so pissed off in the first place.

It's a day the world changed, (btw, I'm not American). If you ask me if it's too soon for 9/11 movies, I'd say yes. The unfortunate thing is that, even in great dispair and catastrophe, there are those that will attempt to profit. I hold contempt for those people, for trying to profit from such a catastrophe. I've downgraded my respect for Mr. Cage as an actor for just this.

The other side of the coin is awakening the public to just how such a vicious act was done and how to prevent it in the future. It's a fine line.

Either way, I'll be more than content to see it "shoved down my throat", if it infact will educate the gov't and general public as to how stop such acts of senseless terrorism in the end.

"Burdened your memory"? Do you actually think an event on that scale woulnd't be "shoved down your throat?" In this day and age, with all the technology and resources we have to broadcast images, do you think something like that wouldn't be? You always have the option of turning off your televison, but keep in mind that when you trun it back on, chances are, that an event where our country is attacked, a 3,000 people die, and 2 wars are sparked as a result...well, there is a chance you MIGHT see some "news and docs and movies" about it. Damn, this question actually pissed me off, it was so stupid.

"only liberals forgot 9-11"

Yes... of course we did.... yeah why not.

Screw you, I want to think that people are better than using 9-11 for political purposes. But people like you who claim liberals wanted 9-11... caused 9-11 or loved 9-11 are horrible. Same with you liberals who shout conspiracy theory.

9/11 was horrible and was a moment in which ALL of us were horrified no matter your political side. Deal with it ok?

In the end whether you believe me or not I care greatly for the families of the victims on that day and I'm liberal.

OH GOD... I said a bad thing...

I understand your question.I guess the media feels like enough time has passed to start showing it all over again.I guess the enemy is buying up satellite dishes at Radio Shack,to get all the action, sorry ,that was tacky of me,but I know it is true about those kinds of people.I would ratrher not see all of it,but of course, that will not happen with the media blitz on right now.
There will never be enough time in my opinion, for it to pass...my heart is still haunted by the losses.
(Radio Shack and other co's really had a rash of requests for sat.dishes,etc..before,and after..I know someone who reported this..to no avail, ultimately ,..it seems.)

badmts, you hit the nail on the head. People have an awfully good time evoking tragedy for some sort of reason--it could be political gain, or some defence mechanism. I think it is time to move on. Okay, we shouldn't forget it, because it was terrible, but we shouldn't forget any human or nature-caused tragedy. It seems some are considered more important than others.

I don't need stuff "shoved down my throat" as you so quaintly put it.

I will never ever ever forget the day 3000 people were murdered by a bunch of cowards.

I will also never ever ever forget the images of the Palestinians celebrating those who were murdered by dancing and singing in the streets.

I think I will write a book about what happened that day and sell it. Or maybe a movie. I'll make millions!!! I'll never forget that day and I won't have to buy a book or see a movie to remind me of it. I think about it every day.

How can you put that so lightly?!

And, Who could ever forget?! It was a day that changed my life forever. And, I'm sure every American since that day.

However, I feel it is disrespectful to those who gave their lives on that date to use it as propaganda. To use such a horrible attack to spread hurt and discord among our fellow Americans is...monsterous.
