what do i do if he promised forever yet failed to be true to his promise? i love him so much that i dont want to lose him.

That sounds soooo familiar.. Are you just dating or married? Well think you should sit down n ask him what the problem is n let him talk. maybe he's under pressure @ work or some other issue. Im sure he loves you cuz otherwise he wouldnt still be asking you to give him time. just sit him down n talk - not argue n rubbing in the fact that he keeps hurting you cuz that will only make him feel worse. His mistake wasn't not being true to his promise, it was making the promise in the first place. Seems like people are in such a huge rush to commit themselves to any old person that they're currently with for the rest of their lives. Talk of living together forever and the like just seems to happen way too often way too soon. The fact that he didn't go through with it probably wasn't his fault alone. You two broke up yes? That's just the way it is. If you don't want to lose him, you can try to get him back or whatever. Just don't get your expectations up. Sorry I didn't have anything 'upbeat' to tell you here.

are u married? how many times has he gone back on this promise? these are just somethings to consider. I'd say give it another chance unless he has messed up more than this once. Everyone can make a mistake and regret it but if he keeps doing it than he apparently doesn't really love you becuase doing something like that hurts you and he knows it. Good Luck Hun!
