I recently got rid of my VW Golf Diesel because the payment is KILLING ME and I hate the car not comfortable, ugly.. but aside that the mileage is good. I am thinking of getting a Miata, but how do you rate the mileage?? I like convertables and I like the look of the Miata.

My 1997 Miata has 75,000 miles and averages 29 MPG. It never requires any repair and needs little maintenance. It is fun to drive and lacks the tutonic coldness of a VW. That's why it is the best selling sports car of the 21st Century.

Dependitng if you get a manual or an automatic.
I have a manuel and I drive it pretty hard. I also go 80 mph for about an hour a day. So I am averaging 28 mpg
It is a blast and the best car I have had ever.

it would not be as good as a diesel, but good for a gas.
