How do u send a text message to someones cell phone from a yahoo email account?

You need Instant Messenger (IM) that you can download from: http://messenger.yahoo.com

Add the person to your contact list.

Right-click on their name, and a pop-up list will appear that reads "Send an SMS Message".

Enter their phone #.

A chat screen will appear for you to type your message in.
