i dont undertsnd ur q. let me ask u first? how far are you now? if u r in your 9 month, the baby doesnt move much anymore. the baby is now in his position of coming out. it is called engagement. the baby's head is already engaged in ur pelvis that is why he cannot move anymore or change his position.

I'm not sure that I'm totally understanding the question, but if you're in the last trimester especially, it's not unusual for the baby to stop doing all the gymnastics and settle into a comfortable position. Head down, facing backwards (towards your back) is the best position for them to be in, since it is easiest to deliver them this way.

The baby may still flip around some more, especially if you are around 8 months or less far along, and that's okay, too. The doctor will keep you updated if he's concerned at all, and if the baby does flip, most likely he'll flip back before your due date.

My son decided to settle in breech (head up) and facing front-ways, and he thought it would be comfortable to put his feet and arms up over his head. And he didn't want to come out, either. I ended up having a C-section nearly 2 weeks past my due date.

Good luck!

Depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy, the baby won't keep moving into every possible position any more. Later in pregnancy, it gets so that there's barely enough room to turn from rightside up to upside down and back. So they move around in other ways, but not changing between those two very much. Many babies remain head down the whole last month or two.

It's also usually safer and easier for mom and baby to have a routine birth if the baby comes out head first.

babies generally tend to face down during the last month or two of pregnancy. if your not in the last trimester babies move all around all the time and it could be that he just was facing down both times the doctor checked.
