We had a discussion about this in a class of mine once. American Idol basically represents the American dream, which is something everyone wants. Going from a nobody, to a somebody with fame and fortune...which i guess untimatly leads to a better life. Its what a grandparents came here for, a better life....its what most people want, fame a fortune...and thats why people are so fasinated!

Nothing anymore. After I found out who won this year, I am going to stop watching it. Simon was right. He does sing like the drunk uncle at the wedding. He doesn't have soul.. Luther Vandross and Barry White had soul. No way he sings that good.

That the finalist are no talent. The only one that has gone to the top is Kelly Clarkson. Everyone else suck.

Nothing, I am so sick of that show. Simon is so predictable, Paula's on drugs and Randy is just Randy.
