I tend to have faith in people, my husband does not.
I say, people remember 9/11 and my husband says that people have forgotten and may only joke about....He doesn't have faith in people, much...
So do you even at all reflect on 9/11?

I recently went and saw the movie 'World Trade Center'. I'm glad I did. It was a powerful reminder of the human tragedy our countrymen experienced when our vigilance lapsed.
I say the 'proportional response' is to ensure those dirtbag Islamists are incapable of repeating their 9/11 performance.
If we forget 9/11, Democrats will succeed in their efforts to re-impose the policies that gave terrorists success in the past. We must never forget. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

How Can we ever forget 9/11.
It was the biggest terrorist atrocity in recent times.
N
It was the cause of the war on terror, and the war on Iraq.
I want people to remember and think hard about it every day.
When people come to realise the real truth about 9/11, then we will be a long way forward in saving us all from a nuclear holocaust which is likely to be caused.
As a result of 9/11, we know exactly what the American government is capable of, and that it has no care for anyone except the greedy rich who own most of the wealth on the planet.
We will remember 9/11 even more when the American Government stages its next attack on American people, probably before the November elections. But this time, more people will be aware of who the real perpetrators are, and they will not fall for the hoax in the same way that they did in 2001. We now know for sure that the twin towers were demolished by controlled demolition, meaning that it was an inside job, and that the American Government murdered its own people. Once you are aware of the full horror of this truth, you can never forget

Oh goody...another 9/11 question.
Millions of people around the WORLD were affected by 9/11. Just because your husband is an insensitive half-wit doesn't mean that anyone has forgotten.
You do not have to live in Pennsylvania or Washington DC or New York City to have been affected. You did not have to watch TV, listen to the radio, or read the paper. People are the dominant species because we have emotions. Sadly, these emotions are largely stirred from media outlets. Just because it isn't on the news 24/7, doesn't mean ANYONE has forgotten.
Lastly, we all remember in our own way, and, ironically enough, some do so by not remembering.

I remember exactly where I was on 9/11 - in my dress blue uniform, at my firehouse, watching brothers I never met die honorably. I *won't* forget.
Now, the country, on the other hand, tends to forget everything. If it isn't on prime time, and doesn't flash T & A, it's not even a glimmer. Give it 10 years, most people won't have a clue. Look at those growing up now, who can't even sing the national anthem, and don't have a clue what the flag represents and how to respect it.
Unfortunately you also have those who grab on to the first part of the whole situation (as shown above) and blanket all those of Muslim faith as terrorists, even though just like any other "group" it's a very small percentage making the most noise. Should we hate all whites because of Tim McVeigh? He was a terrorst too.
There are extremists in all cultures and faiths. Just because they're loud, doesn't mean they represent everyone's view.

No, I haven't forgotten...actually had a nightmare about it 2 nights ago, woke up at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep. This however doesn't mean that I think that we should be in a war... not w/ Iraq anyways. I'm not a complete conspiracy theory goofball, but it does seem strange to me that 14 of the 19 hijackers where Saudi...and we didn't even throw a hint of suspicion in that direction. Why? Well, I can guess why...but why doesn't that bother us?
No, I'll never forget 9/11, I, along w/ millions of Americans lost our innocence that day...and I wonder, are we mad at the wrong people?

Yes for many reasons, I am in the service and have been to Iraq twice. I feel very saddened about all the innocent lives lost on 9/11. All the families left behind to pick up the pieces. It is a very real and very sad situation, I get very angry that somthing like that in this day and age could happen in our country. We are here to serve and protect.

People definitely haven't forgotten. But if your husband is referencing the dwindling presence of flags and bumper stickers...yes, we have a short attention span. Also, we can't dwell everyday on our tragedies. But I know that 9/11 is present in all of us still.
It's being used as the reason our troops are still in Iraq, and our terror level is always elevated. It's definitely still relevant.
