Here's some more detail: I worked at Flying-J for 9 months. I waited on MANY truckers at the 'fuel desk'. I couldn't believe how many stank, came in wanting to punch me in the face for no reason, and in general were the most obnoxious people I've ever met. There were a FEW exceptions. Thank GOD I don't work there anymore. Never will again.

You can take THAT job a shove it!

My 78 year old dad almost got ran of the road just the other day by a trucker who just couldn't obey the speed limit in a construction zone. Who do they think they are anyway? They're social misfits.

The only exceptions were UPS ground drivers. They were for the most part 'foreigners' and very polite.

I know this one!

My boyfriend is lazy and he's told me that he is a truck driver cause all he's gotta do is sit in the comfortable truck and drive.
And since they're hardly around anyone, they don't care about their hygene!

It's a lazy man's job!

The one's that are clean and fit aren't trucker's as an easy way out, but out of nessesity.

I am assuming that you are looking for an honest answer and not one that you want to hear right? Good. Now that we have that figured out. Here is your answer.

People are obese and ugly and smelly in every walks of life, not just truck drivers. I assume you like to eat, drive your car, wear cloths. How do you suppose those things got to the stores? Hmm. UFO? No a truck driver someplace stayed awake, drove his/her truck to make an unreasonable delivery time to get to a warehouse someplace where they were treated like crap, and simply did not have time to take a shower. Catch a nap or wait in line for a shower. That is the choice.

Want to talk about people that work behind fuel desks at the truck stops and other places at the truck stops? What a bunch of idiots. If they were smart or had any education they very well would not be working behind a fuel desk acting like the world revolves around the fact that they have to hand over a fuel ticket, if they can find it, for a signature.

Have you ever seen a cook at a Flying J? Ewww. You could lube a 5th wheel from the extra grease in his/her hair.

Instead of acting like you obviously did, you should have paid a bit of attention to the things gong on around you. UPS drivers get a room every night at the end of their shift. They sleep. They have access to a clean shower. Flying J has some of the worst showers there are to be found. The guy cleaning the showers, want to talk about his lack of hygiene? I have NEVER seen anyone of those guys that were clean looking. Ah! But they get a Flying J uniform that makes them important.

I hauled concerts for 18 years, I went to a Flying J maybe a total of 10 times. The employees are ignorant, the showers filthy, the food greasy and nasty, like the person cooking it. The employees seem mostly to be there hunting out people to sleep with, both the male and female employees.

As for people wanting to punch you? I bet that anyone that has ever made contact with you has had that idea.

Still though I find it strange that you hated it so much yet stayed 9 months? If I hated a job, and found the people that I was there to SERVE that repugnant, I would have been gone at the first sign of it.

Sounds like 1 too many truck drivers turned down your advances and now you are out to trash them all.

Good luck with your job at Burger King. Hang in there one day they will move you up to mopping the floor! We are all pulling for ya.

they are issues which could basically be found after hundreds and hundreds of trials. and needless to say, strict limit desires to be in place. inspite of the undeniable fact that, because of the fact the muse of technology is often changing through new discoveries, we would desire to even have sympathy to the drug enterprise besides. they do no longer look to be miracle makers, they only attempt to make revenue by using advertising something that they "think of" might help different persons. think of the international without antibiotics and different drugs, how a lot of human beings might might desire to die? If we agree that technology can get replaced, the drug enterprise would possibly no longer have an excuse of increasing drugs expenditures because of the fact of regulation fit.additionally if we glance on the different section that has used the socialist device it has slowed down and did no longer stay as much as its Utopian promise. No device is suited yet open and loose industry is the ideal accessible.

Because the ones that are obese and ugly are the old schoolers who have been doing it for many years and the ones who look healthy and have a good attitude are the "newbies" and are just beginning.

many truck drivers are obese, because they are out of home for couple weeks and they have to eat on those nasty truck stop areas. trucks are big cars and they can't park them anywhere they want to eat healthy. eating food keep them awake to during driving at night. why you pick up on truck drivers? they are hard working people making a lot of sacrifice in their life to support their families.

That was a very ignorant, egotistical thing to say. If it wasn't for truckers you wouldn't be sitting in your house right now tapping away on the keyboard. You should be thanking them.

My hubby is a diesel mechanic. Truck drivers are aka "steering wheel holders". He has been in many of rigs that are nasty, stink, and are intolerable. I have yet to see or hear of an OTR driver that is "good health and attitude", that is an oxymoron.

The ones that maintain good health and attitude are the ones that are new to the job.
