if you take a LOW DOSE bcp and you are NOT a smoker, you can take the pill all the way through without stopping or ever getting a period. actually, one pill, called seasonale, will allow you to have only 4 periods a year. If you are with a partner and are committed (ie married or equivalent, you can get a mirena IUD and not have a single period for 5 years. Ask a gynaecologist.

First off, this question angered me slightly. You're complaining because one of her bodily functions will get in the way of when you want sex. I bet every female on the planet wishes that periods came when it was convenient and that they could just say 'not this week.' grow up.

It may be your birthday but women are women. Guys don't have to worry about using tampons or having menstrual once a month, for most women. So live with it you have more advantages than we do and you're saying you WANT SOME just b/c it's YOUR birthday?

you think its bad for youuuuu that your girl has her period, think about how she feels, about to cry over anything and everything, haveing servere cramps once a month, and then inconvinence of having to change your tampon. not to mention the bloating. and then i bet youuur like "oh shut up your just PMSing" and that makes her feel that much better.

If she is on the pill, she can. She just continues to take it (missing the sugar pills) which will make her miss her period.
