Today's Democrat party is run by Leftists who have their roots back with Lenin of the USSR. Lenin developed a mastery of psychological manipulation through the media and that mastery has only been honed by Leftists since then.

They dominate the media and the school systems to 'program' the masses, to control the 'cattle' (a word I've heard them use), to manipulate how the masses 'feel' about things. Then they tell the masses to 'vote your feelings'.

That is why Democracy is a threat to a free society - because masterful demagogues like the Leftists can easily establish a tyranny if not restrained by our Republican form of government.

Still, they are progressively taking over our society as you have noticed and are doing a good job of controlling what voters know and feel.

I don't understand the "chocolate city" statement either! Was he saying he wanted all whites out? Was he denying that whites suffered and died right alongside the blacks? If a white politician would have said "We are going to rebuild this city as a white bread city", they would have killed him. I watched Katrina unfold with horror. I saw the same video everyone else saw. Whites and blacks suffering. School buses NOT being used. How in the Hxll it became all Bush's fault is beyond me. That city's govt was way screwed up! While we are on the topic. Since "EVERYONE" knew for years that the levys were old and needed repair, let me ask how much did the Clinton administration spend to fix the problem? How many times did Bill, or Hillary, speak out on the issue? It would seem to me they might have had a little more free time than the current President, what with the terrorist attack and all. I'm not ignorant, and I do understand that the response should have been faster. But, I also understand that the President of the United States does NOT call all the shots in a recovery effort, nor should we want him to. I think there is plenty of blame to go around. God bless those who suffered through this tragedy. God help the families that lost loved ones. God punish the politicians on all sides who seek to make political gain on their suffering. If every politician and talking head on television spent just one third the energy they spend on placing blame instead on HELPING we would see miracles. It is to our nation's shame that so many would rather point the finger of blame than extend the hand of help. By the way, before you liberals ask me, YES I did give. AND my 10 year old daughter held a citywide lemonade stand and raised a few hundred dollars also. I'm very proud of her. She didn't look for someone to blame, she looked for a way to help.

Personally, I feel that the correct protocol was not taken. Many residents of New Orleans did not have power up to 10 hours before the storm so how could one possibly evacuate. Also, it was not the hurricane that caused all the disaster it was the lack of responsibility of the engineer who waited 40 + years to adhere to the codes and upkeep of the levees. When the levees broke that's when all hell broke loose. That's why people blame the govt. Do you believe if the Statue of liberty needed upkeep or maintenance it will be ignored for 30 + years or even the White House. i don't think so? Ignoring the levees was just the political agenda of the big time builders to rebuild New Orleans as a Casino district. they were just waiting for something to destroy and clear as many poor and minorities as they could without paying them off to move. Gentrification, look it up!!

Imagine your 16 year old cousin picked up for a possible suspect for vandalism on Aug. 28, 2005 just because he fit the description of a young black male with a red t-shirt and blue jeans. He sat in a holding cell for 48 hours. Due to all the drama with Katrina he was not given the phone call nor did he get evacuated. As the water grew him and other whom were stopped or detained by the police just set in a cell while the water was rising. They all drowned many were not even convicted nor did they committ crimes (runaways, profiled suspects) See the media left out so many things and many have the audacity to say its whining :) many people died slowly and painfully, watching there lives pass by why the water rose. Our gov't who say the work for all people have their political agendas and the caliber of people whom made up New Orleans did not make their agenda!! And Katrina was an aid in whipping out what they see as the bottom percentage!! As of today CNN reported that the levees are still not up to par and a category 1-2 hurrican many cause additional damage!!

I'M NOT A VICTIM BUT I HAVE COMPASSION FOR OTHER MANY OF MY FRIENDS AND THERE FAMILY STAYED WITH ME FOR MONTHS WHILE THEY TRY TO PIECE THERE LIVES BACK TOGETHER JUST IMAGINE YOUR LIFE ON A BLACK BOARD FULLED THEN ITS ALL ERASED AWAY!! HOW WOULD YOU FEEL??

If you were actually an informed intellectual you would realize that the state did ask for help, days before Katrina hit. And Bush ignored it, just like 9/11.

It may be a waste of my breath and time to answer this but here goes.

1) Bush got blamed for Katrina because the federal government waited so long to get there and didn't offer the assistance that they needed for several days.
2) The abortion issue, you might want to check your facts. Abortions are up since Bush took office.
