I don't see anything wrong or "gay" for wanting to taste your own ejaculate. It is quite normal to be curious and want to experiment, plus you won't be hurting anyone nor forcing them to do anything they don't want.
So don't worry about it. Go ahead and try it for curiosity's sake.
Certain foods and drink will affect it's taste and texture, so if you want to pursue your experimentation you can always vary your diet for added flavours!
The main concern is that no, it is not harmful at all, and unless you're a hypocritical puritan, there's nothing weird about it either!

Well, I've searched the web and there are many article about it and lots of people had taste it and they're fine. So it should be safe.

As long as the guy is not infected with disease. It's safe, for sure. But you won't relish the flavor. It is not exactly apple pie. You'll see. It'll never be the flavor of the month at hagen-Daz.
