I go to church and the reason this under comics and animation is because I didn't think any body would answer it.

Every Sunday - it feeds my heart and soul but more importantly I spend time and honor the God I love.
I also hear things I need to hear and remember to help my life each week, and see my favorite people.
Going to church restores and renews me.

I can't add much to Katie's comment. I agree w/ her.

But, you might take a look at this answer:

Comics tell stories to which we relate. People have always been drawn to stories...from Job, to Homer, to Jesus' parables...stories are a powerful way of teaching and for people to relate.

Super heroes? Because as CS Lewis said, we were not created for this world. We hate evil, and want to see it fought. We want something bigger than us to exist, yet we want it to relate to us as humans. We also want to see purpose in people's lives, and camraderie as people fight together.

Comic super heroes point out people's innate need for the God of the Bible. Pascal said every person has a "God-shaped vacuum" in their hearts. Super heroes are an attempt to fill it.

Don't get me wrong, I love comic books and super heroes, but don't ignore the message their popularity teaches.

yepsiree. But the real question is...where does it get us? Truly, we need to believe Christ is our savior, and church doesn't make us "better people", however, it is good to learn about God's word and fellowship with others.
