There are artists who try to duplicate reality. This style of art is called called tromp l'oeil, which is French for "fool the eye". The best of this art is usually displayed with a real example such as the painting of a stamp next to the actual stamp. The only difference is that the actual stamp has gotten yellow with age.

'reality' differs from one person to the other. life is like a cube, we can just see one side of it at one time, someone else might be looking at it too, but they can't see what we are looking at. my reality might not be yours. you might not be able to understand what i am going through. until you experience exactly what i have, you can't understand my reality. so, hence, artists are all creating reality, but it is their reality. so, the answer to your question is yes.

NO. You create your own world. Even when you are trying to paint, draw,...create something which or what all ready exists (nature, portret,...), that thing or person changes every second, we get older, so it can not be real. That is an ilusion of some different time and place.

Yes. Some artist creations reflect what we go through everyday. It captures the pain and emotion that people experience.

all art ...true art ...is reality...its not a question of can one create reality...reality is...but can you...accept this reality...or would you change it to fit your perception of your reality...[[[beauty is in the eye of the beholder]]] approach art with an open mind and you discover who you really are...

When you say reality, do you mean life? Like life imitating art imitating life . they are two words for different parts of the same thing.
