Most strong acids with most metals although metals of the platinum group are highly resistant. Water will produce bobbles (and more!) with the alkali metals (potassium, sodium etc.) A solution of sodium hydroxide will produce hydrogen with aluminium. And on and on.......

Most strong acids would do that such as sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid. They must be concentrated though.
