I agree with all the answers and will add,that who ever can turn this world around and put us on the path to the future,instead of destruction is and will be a "genius"in my book!Also someone may be a genius that simply solves a problem that will benefit the whole of man,such as the person who finds a cure for aids,you never know,could be a housewife from Idaho.PEACE and GOOD QUESTION!!

You have some good answers here already, but I wanted to say that being a genius is usually limited to one subject. People who have a genius ability for one or more subjects have less common sense than others. I think Einstein was a genius of mathematics, but he was dyslexic.

IQ greater than 160 rates you as a genius. Mathematics and grammar is part of it but since 'genius' is not specific to any language a comprehensive and general test is preferable.

Yes. To be a genius in general you have to have above average ability to process various kinds of information. You could call someone a genius in a specific area - mathematical genius, literary genius - for their exceptional ability in that one area. However, to be a flat out genius, you've got to have it all.
But then, that makes me think of how many geniuses have poor social skills. Hmmm....

Spell-check your questions for starters. Genius is not a scientifically measurable quantity. If you get someone to publish a citation naming you "genius," then you're a genius.

i don't even know what a genius is, so i have no idea how to determine if one is a genius or not. i'm sure it goes beyond having mathmatical skills and being grammatically correct though.
