Atheism, in its broadest sense, is a lack of belief in a deity or deities. The opposite of theism, this broad definition encompasses both people who assert that there are no gods and those who make no claim about whether gods exist or not. Narrower definitions of atheism typically include only those who assert the nonexistence of gods, excluding non-believing agnostics and other non-theists.

Atheism is a negative term which asserts nothing except without-theism or without-religion. For those who believe in the evolution of the universe (from big bang) and species (biological evolution) proper term would be "Evolutionism" as opposed to creationism. It is a positive assertion in the truth of evolution based on facts and evidence and some speculation as well.

It actually means the belief that there is no God, no Supreme Being, and no Diety of any kind at all. Most religions, no matter where they come from or how old they are - all believe in some form of Higher Spiritual Being, Creator, or yes - God. Atheism rejects any and all such beliefs.

I just thought up that little acrostic. I pray for them because they do not know what they are saying. Sadly, some once believed, but let someone else discourage them. They put their trust in leaders and never took the yoke of Christ upon themselves to learn of him. Man will fail you, God never will. He changes not. He loves them and so do I.
Many are just childish in their understanding and turned away from God because someone died that they loved or they asked God for something and did not get it when or how they wanted it; as if God, the ultimate good parent, has no right to say no. Again, I just pray for them.

Atheism is the lack of belief in supernatural deities. Typically, that lack of belief is based on the conflict between science and logic versus faith and rhetoric. In other cases, it is founded in perceived failings of the god in which the individual previously believed. Still others lose faith in organized religions.

Atheism: comes from Greek meaning without god(s). Atheism denies the existence of god or god-like beings.

Lack of beliefs, or the belief in nothing.

The sad thing is, if you ask an athiest what the meaning of life is, they really can't give you an answer. The fact is, without God, life is meaningless.

There are hundreds of religions in the world...and hundreds of gods. And everybody does not believe in most of those gods. Some of us just don't believe in more than others.
