We have got it down to two names and I just wanted some opinions on which one sounds better. ( I'm not going to totally rely on these opinions, I just want a different perspective.)

I picked Genevieve because it is my grandmothers middle name and she is a very important person in my life.

I'm a fan of abigail--madalyn or any variation of it is so overused nowadays. Go with Agibail--it is classic.

Even though I love the name Madalyn and you have used a very unique spelling, I would not use it for 2 reasons. 1. Madeline (I know it's spelled differently) is a very very common name these days. Go into any 1st grade class and there will be 2 or 3 Madeline's and at least a couple of Madison's as well. 2. Your poor daughter will have to spell her name until she is blue in the face as will you.
I love the name Abigail too. In fact, that almost was my 2nd daughter's name but we ended up naming her Ashley. I love your middle name of Genevieve.

I like Abigail. Sounds angelic and sweet. Madalyn and Genevieve are both strong names. I thnk Abigail would be a good complement for Genevieve.

I think Abigail Genevieve Slater flows better. Madalyn is nice too, but a different middle name would offset it better in my opinion.

But I'm sure whatever you choose will be the right name for your baby if only because you're her parents.

those are beautiful names. I personally like both and couldn't pick between the two. When I was little I had a doll named Abigail. When shes born you can decide if she looks more like a Abigail or a Madalyn. But I think they are both great names

Abigail sounds better, but I would probably just wait to see her before you decide. While your at the hospital you have a day or so to decide. Madalyn is very pretty and unusual around where I'm from. Good luck....

Definately wait until you meet the baby, but both names are pretty. I am a bit partial to Abigail, because I taught a girl by that name whom I loved. I actually like Genevieve as a first name, too. Check out the website below to find out the rank in popularity, based on Social Security applications. Best wishes!

Oh I like Abigail. Right now there are a lot of girls named Madalyn (or some other spelling of the name) and they usually get called Maddy. There could end up being 3 "Maddy's" in your daughter's kindergarten class.

Best of luck!!! Whatever you decide, she'll be beautiful!
