how does it sound? how soon should i notice results? how soon will others notice a change? does this sound about right for a weight program or is it too much/too little?

When you are designing a weights program there is alot to take into consideration. eg, age previous experience etc. At the moment you're program is abit un - even, as you dont have any back exercises. If you're working you're chest and not you're back you will end up with poor posture as you're chest muscles will get tight and pull the spine forwards. I would recommend getting a professional to design you're program for you, or looking on the net and magazines for ideas. Your reps and sets are good but i would add a few more exercises in there. You should start to notice results within 6 - 12 weeks.

ok dude, main thing is form not weight. start doing a mon, tues, thus, fri workout. mondays do squats (hamstring muscle controlls metabolism and will determine if you get bigger), back raises, VKR's, and glute-hams. look this stuff up on the web if you dont know what it is. tues. is bench, pullups, seated millitary press (allternate with dumbells on barbell), triceps, curls. thursday do tlower body again (same as monday) friday: bench, triceps, rows, rear deltoid rows. on reps, dont do anything over 12 (thats endurance and you wont get bigger) do like 4 sets of 10 the 3 sets of 8, and 3 set of 5-6. rotate that every 2 weeks.
as for getting bigger. alot of it depends on your build. are you slender or natually big. slender dudes tend to burn everything and anything off in like a secound. so take LOTS of protein. get a min. of you body weight in grams every day.
you arent gonna notice redults in size TOO fast. unless your on steroids. but dont get discouraged. you'll be strong and be able to kick anyones ***. good luck

It sounds tough. I'm not experienced with weights, so I can't say much else about it. But it definitely sounds like it could be too much if you pick the wrong weights. But whatever you do, eat right, rest well, and be careful. Good luck!
