she can't sing to save her own life. her album is just as much of a joke as her personality. i didn't get why she made such a really big deal out of her new album weeks before it hit store shelves. her producer told the press that she can't promote tours because she can't sing live. when i read that article on yahoo, i asked myself how you can go about promoting your album and trying to make music when you don't have the backup of live vocals to reach some type of stardom in your career. paris doesn't only need to think about herself, she needs to think about her fans who showed a lot of support for her music. wow, we'll just see how many people will like her after she confesses to faking her music career to capture some type of attention.
is this girl some kind of joke or what?

you said it. if a singer cant perform live then they are not a singer. or at least not a good one. i liked her better when her and nicole were friends, but now shes just too 'blonde' to realize she sucks.

I have never met her - but we do share one friend in common. This friend has shared with me that she's surprisingly very normal when the cameras are off - not at all diva-ish. The knows that fame/beauty/youth is fleeting and she has a short time to make a really big deal about herself. She laughs at the absurdity that is her life, and she is taking advantage of media/paparazzi, money being thrown her way,etc. Also, she smokes the great green, and loves to make out with cute boys which makes her all the more likeable to me. Haven't heard her album, nor do i care to - i'm certain she just did it for kicks and hopes that someone out there will like it. By the way, did you know that Bridget Bardot made a few french albums in the 60s ? They are worth checking out.

She can sing, she is talented she has a good voice. She isn't singing just because everyone else is she said she has wanted to sing ever since she was a little girl, shut up abou tthis ts no joke, people love her new album, she is no joke, and the person at the top? wtf, hilary duff and lindsay lohan are great, you guys need to get a grip, just because, paris wants to do something she likes and hasnt made it big, her album is already a hit, so i think that this is not a question it is asked by someone who has no life, and never hear her music!!

Paris Hilton is a talented young lady. For someone that just found her voice, I think 'The Stars are Blind' is very good. Just because she has the cash to put some polish on it doesn't make her a bad person. She has waaay more class than most actresses or singers and is generating more income than many 'famous' people her age. She is a young girl, barely into her twenties...she is sincere and she tries...there are plenty of people to pick on in this world. Don't go hatin' Paris. Paris is hot.

I think she's grown bored with her current inherited empire and wanted to branch out into something new... music is a very lucrative business for a beautiful young blonde woman, even if she can't sing (Britney Spears, anyone?)
She's just dabbling at this point... she has perfume, a clothing line, now an album... maybe one day she'll grow up and realize there's more to life than wealth and beauty.

U see this in almost every celebrity. almost every movie star or model has started making music. (needless to say, there have been many dismal failures). I don't see any end to this either. And, poor girl? Uh, let's not forget who we're talking about here. It's paris hilton. There is nothing she wants that she can't get. She has every comfort. I'm not envious, I'm just stating a simple fact, that's all.

not only is she the biggest joke in the music industry, she is the biggest insult to women everywhere! i still fail to understand why it is so important to TRY to act so retarded. I heard on the radio, she was talking about her album, and she said "every time i hear it, i just cry because it sounds so good"

Sadly it isn't a joke. I mean, look at how popular that song of hers is? People actually enjoy her music. I was unaware that she cannot sing live. That's just sad. I think her music career will soon fade away. She'll be a one hit wonder.

Did y'all hear her sing at Hugh Hef's birthday party? She sang Happy Birthday and she did a TERRIBLE job...The person who is singing on her new record is not the same voice that was singing to Hugh Hef...I think she's had some computer stuff done to her voice in the editing room.
