not important but trust and honesty is. The worst thing is the pretence of monogamy when parties don't adhere to it. Better to be honest and open with each other and with th relationship

Very Important! Why? As the `family unit' forms the basis of our society, and long ago basic laws were formed for the protection and sanity of the human race, I think it's important to hold those things we have gained through long experience, as sacred. That two people, commit to creating only each other; to weather the storms in life; and to raise their children in as much harmony as they can is a star-high goal; and one that has integrity as it's basis. For the sake of the human race these natural laws should be upheld.

I entered into a monogamist relationship because that is what I want. If someone isn't interested in being with me alone, then I don't want to be with them.
Generally, when people cheat is because they are looking for something they don't have in their current relationship.
I cheated on my husband, many times, because I was looking for something I didn't have at home. I ended the relationship because it wasn't fair on him or me. Now, and for 8½ years, I've been in a monogamist relationship and I couldn't be happier.

Not. I don't believe in false boundaries. My boyfriend and I have been together for four years and do not plan on ever getting married, its a hassle. All I told him was : If you find someone else, I'm gone.
No restrictions, just that. I'm not against poly relationships, but they don't work for me(I've tried, not wired that way).
Marriage strikes me as an outward admittance of insecurity as far as the status of the relationship, plus its a big, expensive hassle.

Monogamy rates very low on my list of priorities. I've been in both types of relationships and find the monogamous one is...well, monotonous!
When I was younger and had the energy and desire for extra marital affairs, life was filled with excitement and danger! Ton's of fun, in my humble opinion. I am presently married and have been a faithful husband for over 13 years and we're both bored out of our wits!
I've suggested we find a third (preferably female) to spice things up , but we're both too darned old and fat to even consider disrobing in front of a stranger.
O to be thirty again!

monogamy is very important to me because i don't want my man sleeping around with other chicks. Monogamy is a component to a serious relationship and when it is at that level, then there is no reason why either party should be sleeping with other people.

Monogomy is the only way to go for me. I'm not interested in other sorts of relationships and anyone who can't give me the respect and commitment monogomy requires can leave.

Do you mean Monogamy? Monogamy is based on trust. Without it a relationship has no basis. Monogamy is one of the few things that separate us from a bunch of horny dogs.
