OK, my friend just told me that about a year ago she did something, and i forget how she said it but she sold herself to a bunch of guys for sex... and now she regrets it but she claims that they "own" her and if she doesnt have sex w/ them or do what they want then these guys will hurt her...... and i'm worried about her cause she's only 14....... She says that she wants to stop because she's almost gotten pregnant a couple times and she knows its wrong.... but she said that if she doesnt do what these guys want then they will hurt her..... what should i do..... if i go to the police then she will get in trouble for selling herself in the first place...... but now she wants to stop and get right but cant...... how can i help her..... I'm really afraid for her

I would have to say there is a good chance your friend is lying. First off, you don't sell yourself for sex... selling yourself means having sex and getting something in return. That is something that prostitutes do and they get paid each time so if this is the case, your friend doesn't owe them anything. She wants to stop because she "almost" got pregnant? How do you almost get pregnant? You either get pregnant or you don't, there is no almost here. If your friend truly thought she was in danger, getting in trouble for "selling herself" would be the least of her worries. First they would have to be able to prove she sold herself. But she'd have to prove she was in danger.

I hate to say it, and maybe I'm wrong, but this sounds more like a 14 year old trying to get attention than a 14 year old in trouble.

One way to deal with this would be to find some people and make them beat the **** out of those guys. Another way would be to let her parents know what is happening and let them take care of this problem. Otherwise, it would be a good idea to call or visit an organisation that protects kids. But even if she tells police, she will not get blamed for selling herself because she is a kid and she is not capable of making a proper, adult decision. One more thing, if I knew these guys I would beat the crap out of them. Honestly.

Well, if she gets into a little trouble, wouldn't that be better than these guys hurting her, or her coming up with a STD? If I was your friend I would tell a trustworthy adult, like a councilor or a parent, or go to department of family and children's services they should have someone that would help with this problem. Whatever way she has to do it, she should stop!!!!!!

Good luck!!!

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. I don't think the Police will give her that much trouble at 14 but really, she needs saving and quickly.
