I was a cashier for 22 years. I am a strong believer that all coins
and paper currency should be discontinued. Most rich & very
educated people pay with a credit card. 98% of the problems that
the USA faces can be eliminate if the government would use the
system set up by www.biopay.com. terrorist, drug dealers, the
national debt, national budget deficit, prison system, and etc.
You don't have any privacy if more than one person knows about
When the USA goes bankruptcy in 2011, then its citizen will see
the advantage of a cashless society. Just scan your hand

I most certainly think the penny should be discontinued, moreover, I think that all coins should be discontinued and currency notes introduced for the £2, £1, £0.50, £0.20, £0.10, £0.05.

These would be far more practical to handle than coins. I have lived in countries where coins don't have much usage including Vietnam, Iran, and China and it's so much better.

I'm sick and tired of losing change from my pockets when I sit down. I hate pockets being weighed down by change. It's one of my main contenders to go into room 101.

I kinda love the penny. Everything would just be rounded up without it and then we'd be paying more (cause you know there's no way anyone would round down.) It would add up over a few years.

Secondly, I'm pretty sentimental. I'd miss that little guy.

I don't think so, they come in handy some times, and more things should cost a penny.
