"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." -- Hermann Goering, president of the Reichstag, Nazi Party, and Luftwaffe Commander in Chief, is attributed with making the statement at the Nuremburg trials

"Every nation in every region now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists." President George W. Bush

I think that passage illustrates the problem very succinctly, particularly in America. Leaders feel that they have the right to do what they think is best, but in America the leaders are supposed to do what the PEOPLE think is right. I get this kind of thing with Arlen Specter all the time. He has been my senator for my whole life practically and any time I write to him to tell him what I want him to do, he sends me a letter explaining to me his point of view and why it is more valid than mine. I am sick of it.

Every person in this nation has a decision to make. Will it be Mad King George or will it be democracy?

Peace!

Another attemp to eguate Bush and America with the Nazis. Try a new approach sometime name calling is really pretty immature but it is one of the most used weapons from the same old liberal playbook. can't make a good point about the situation so attack the person what happened to the end of personal attacks in politics oh yeah that only works for democrats when attacked by Repubilcans.
