My law professor said you can sue anyone for anything in this country; winning is another matter.

No offense, but getting written up for calling TWO HOURS AFTER your shirt begins is reasonable. TWO WHOLE HOURS, and you were able to inform them earlier? It just makes the boss think that you were lying. Besides, YOU were the one whom was promoted meaning the boss respects you more and the others, whom all happened to be minorities, leave them alone, they experienced more hardship than you can imagine since you're white.

And don't just assume that all of them are Mexican (unless they say so). There is a different between the Spanish, Mexicans, and hispanics. Just like how there's a different between the American, Irish, and Italian.

Just find another job (if you can), and if you're going to sue, make sure you have money and mention the guy that assaulted you!

I really don't think color is an issue... but if you are calling someone "b*tch" at work (or just saying it outloud and not to the person), it's not like you are the most professional person anyway. So I guess there's not much for you to say.

Sure you can sue, anyone can sue... but working without a raise? Do you think you can pull up the money for an attorney??? No.

The best thing you can do for yourself is keep your nose clean from this point on and find another job PRONTO. You should not be subject to physical violence in the workplace, but you shouldn't be using words like that either. I say just cut your losses. (You COULD report the situation and physical violence to your local labor board - but you'd still lose your job).

Yeah, your boss and the black guy are wrong, but you're no "white knight" in this situation either. Cut out before that guy goes off!

It sounds like you do have a legal leg to stand on. But what would you be after? Is he the owner of the shop? Are you looking for more money from them or just for more fairness? Do what you need to do, then look for another job if you don't get where you want to go from it...

you do no longer recognize what discipline the others who've had injuries are growing to be to be. so which you will no longer say he's treating you in a diverse way. does no longer count the economic fee which you brought about basically which you brought about it. workers with years of journey are going to get dealt with in a diverse way than you with basically 8 months. you haven't any foundation for a lawsuit.
