In honor of Pastor Martin Niemöller:
First they came for the 6th Amendment, but I hadn't been accused of a crime, so I didn't object to denial of counsel.
Then they came for the 4th Amendment, but I wasn't talking to anyone overseas, so they wouldn't be monitoring me.
Then they came for the rest of the 4th Amendment, but I only called my mother, so there was nothing suspicious in my phone records.
Then they came for the 1st Amendment, but I never associated with criminals, so I didn't worry about being convicted purely based on what other people might do.
Then they came for the 14th Amendment, but I never really understood the rules for Due Process (and wasn't allowed an attorney), so I didn't object.
Then they came for the rest of the 1st Amendment, but I never told anyone about what the government was doing, so again I remained silent.
Then they came for the 5th Amendment, ...... and I no longer had the right to remain silent.

Did you know that Lincoln threw several politicians in jail and suspended habeas corpus for them because they were traitors to our country. Has the ACLU or any organization found where the administration was abusing the wiretapping or anything in the Patriot act. If you are a terrrorist then your freedoms are in jeopardy. If your an innocent American - no evidence at all that they will be in jeopardy. Lincoln would agree that those who are the most able to threaten our liberties are the ones getting in the way of Bush trying to protect this nation because of their paranoia about some evil scheme he has to take over the world.

if this happens to us it will have to do with the lack of respect we have for everyone else. the american govt. thinks it can walk all over everyone in its path, that is what led to 9/11 and that is why we are fighting terrorist today. we have disrespested other peoples religion and way of life, and at the same time we will not accept anyone who disrespects ours. wake up everyone and open your eyes! i'm not saying it's right. but if we are so hell bent on our freedom we ought to respect other countries. and there beliefs. a little communication before we jump the gun. Its the networks we are putting in place that scare me. I mean the way I look at it is when all this terrorist stuff is over what next gangs, militia's and then what. I think if we don't eliminate these organization's when this stuff is done the barrel will be pointed at the American people and some sob is going to pull the trigger.

for the record, a country's fate or freedom, lies within the people in power. whatever direction they stir, the whole country's fate would follow. therefore, the path should be journeyed on the right track and be noted and watch... for one slip, may cause all the diference. and one wrong move may lead into downfall. unless, the people monitor and stand for what should be right, protect it for that matter...

A truer statement has never been said if the left has it's way we are doomed as a nation.
Every Nation that has failed was as a result of a liberal fem de la flame.....In other words Morality as compared to it's tradition has been tossed aside, and there is no one left to take the helm of responsibility.
