This is not a job for anyone who is not experienced. The best way is to call a company like Orkin Pest Control. They will seal exiting and entering air and fumigate the basement. All the Wal-Mart crap will do is make it smell bad and the centipedes will return.

Go to a hardware store and get the containors of "Damp Rid". Centipedes like damp places, so if you can get the basement dry-they should disapear.

Go to like a home depot or Walmart and you should be able to find bug bombs. It will say on each one what it will kill and what it wont. You have to stay out of the house for a while after its done though.

We were told icing sugar mixed with baking soda. It's worth a try and won't hurt the pets or children either.

Call an exterminator. They'll get into places you'd never think of and be more thorough than you could ever imagine. Good luck!

Demon wp (wetable powder) apply according to the directions.
Also you may use Boric acid as it is highly effective.
