I teach English to a lot of women in this situation, so I'm sensitive to their issues. As a parent, though, I'd like to have some kind of program for safe driving education that targets the problem drivers without being offensive. The biggest difference I see is that the new drivers don't understand the importance of making eye contact before pulling in front of another car or a pedestrian. There are a lot of similar things that are not easy to explain in Beginner English--that have to do with etiquette as well as driver training. I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions, as would the kids whose lives may be saved.

I think the best way is to explain to them how should to drive safely. I myself, is an Asian. I remember when I was learning to drive, my teacher was open about my bad behaviors. Probably the one that taught them to drive did not want to point out the way because it might hurt their feelings.

Don't worry about etiquettes beacuse the asian understands that you have different etiquettes rule then us. So, they will be understanding.

By the way in the Asian countries that I have been to, the main traffic rule (unwritten) is the car is first, pedestrian is second. If you get run over, it is part of your fault. Which is completely opposite from America.

Best of luck!
