i just installed the Sims 2 on my pc, i am trying to play and having problems running it?????

Question

i keep getting an error message when i try to start the game. it is

"CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and restart the game"

what can i do? i am not smart when it comes to these things i just want to play my game.

i have windows xp professional

i suggest you download daemontools. its is a free software that you can find on google, once you install it and restart your pc go here and download this file.

then put it on the desktop and do to daemon tools, choose mount image and choose the file you downloaded. After that enable all of the emulation options on daemontools, and play. If you need any more help email me at [e-mail]

i installed it my my XP and it is running fine.
