the answer depends on your position. Do you stay home or work? If you stay home it is y opinion that you should manage the house and in the future the children. It is nice to have dinner on the stove almost ready at the time he likes. I know this probably sounds like a facist pigheaded male speaking but i am a wife too and enjoy playing 50's housewife. the occasional suprise such as a shoulder rub is often appreciated. Show him and tell him you love him often not by those 3 words but by your actions. If you work then on your days off cook dinner keep the house tidy. ooo and on a lighter note spread your legs honey they enjoy spontaneous sex.

There are a lot of variables to consider, but just the fact that you asked the question tells me that you already have one of the makings of a great wife...you actually care about making your husband happy!

Generally, continue doing the things that made him want to marry you in the first place. Me personally, although I love and treat my wife with the utmost respect, I LOVE to be adored and served. I can't tell if she's just pretending or not sometimes, but who cares, it makes me feel like a million bucks! I'd do anything for her.

Probably, most importantly of all, remember that men and women think differently. The things that are most important to you are not likely to be most important to him. Birthdays, for example. It's important to me, only because it's important to her. COMMUNICATE (both ways)!

Finally, please, keep in mind that your man is not fulfilling some emotional need for closeness. He's having sex-good sex, hopefully. Within reason and physical/moral limitations, give him what he wants when he wants it, just like he likes it. That of course means you have to know what he likes... Ask-or figure it out.

Okay, one more. Men like to look at attractive women... Dress up and look cute or sexy for him sometimes!
