At 23, you've got lot's of time.
Travel, any way you can, as far as you can, before it's too late.
Contrary to popular belief, it can be done inexpensively, do some research. It's a big world and it's a whole 'nother type of education seeing it.

Hey me too! What do you love doing? I discovered after 6 years of college that my passion in life is always going to be history and I need to get a new degree to get me a career in that field. Is there something that you really have a passion for? If not maybe try experimenting to find out what your passions are. Get a job at a temp agency and try lots of different jobs. They are usually only for a week or a few days, but it gives you a taste of the job and you'll learn what you like to do and what you really DON'T like to do.

Do you loathe looking at terrible websites? You could become a graphic designer and create better ones. Do you love arts? What about becoming a photographer? You have this posted in arts and humanities so I assume you are a creative person with these sorts of tendencies. Do you have a knack for creative writing? Sign up for a course. I signed up for a children's writing course that guarantees you will have a publishable document by the end of the course if you are accepted. I have been very pleased with the program thus far. Pottery? I knew a couple who made a whole career out of it and taught it from their studio as a way to make extra money and look for employee potentials.

What are your hobbies? What about turning them into a career? Find a way to make money with it and you'll have a blast for the rest of your life.

Did you hate teaching? What parts? Did you like the kids but hate the paperwork or the other way around or did you just hate the whole thing? If you liked parts of the teaching environment, why not use those elements in finding a new direction?

I hope I've been at least slightly helpful. I also hope I can take some of my own advice. :D

I am also 23 and often wonder what I want to do with my life. But I decided to stop wondering and start living it. I am double majoring in college, but am taking it slow so I can take any class that interests me. I took at fun job serving that I love and it leaves me time to spend with my friends. Even though I can't tell you what I will be doing when I am 30, I am loving my life right now. The big pieces will fall into place when the time is right, in the mean time I am just enjoying being me :)

Graduated from college - did you major in anything, or has special interests in certain subject? Had been teaching for 2 years - do you like it? These are questions you need to answer yourself and from there, you really should know where your strength/interests are. There must be something you wanted to do, and only YOU can decide. Good luck.

Do something you really love it will always be important in your life.
I wanted to be a mother and a home-makerand so I did. I love it with my whole heart and soul. My children began growing up and having their own things in life to do and though I had always been a school volunteer, gymnastics mom, assistant Brownie leader and Cub Scout leader for 4 years; when I was 27 years old I began singing in the adult choir. I then took vocal instruction and sang show tunes. I began writing my own songs and joined a country song writing class where I started to play guitar.
At 30 years old I auditioned to be the lead singer in a classic rock band called Escape. I got hired. I took vocal instruction and simultaneously got a job in the Library. I moved on to heavier rock and started my own band called Hard Candy in which I played guitar and sang lead vocals, I started admiring virtuoso guitar players ( Steve Vai, Yngwei Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Tony MacAlpine) and began to learn to play guitar in ernest.
By the time I was 35 I was Lead vocalist in a heavy metal band called Jaded Angel in SW Florida. We played in Battles of the Bands and came away very well. We heard ourselves on the radio and that was a milestone. As the music scene changed I played lead and rythm guitar as well as lead vocalist in band called Meat-Fly-Pie, I had great fun. and then I became interested in Sound engineering. I attended a Recording School and attended and set up countless recording sessions with very talented musicians and vocalists. I was exposed to many kinds of music including rap and gospel, jazz and hip hop R & B and many other excellent grooves. I then began running sound for a Hatian Kompa band (Island Music heavily laden with percussion and electronic music and bass lines and lots of cool percussion instruments to set up. It was a sound engineers dream come true). I have now got my own recording equiptment and can record my own music or run music for others. It's been an awesome trip and there's always more to learn and keep me excited about working in the music industry while holding down a day job and ALWAYS being able to have time for my children and my husband.
Do what you love and get a job doing it if you can. the rewards are endless.
Have a great life.

You should discover more of who you are. Get to know yourself better, and then find out what you WANT to do with your life.
