I'll be 25 this Thursday and I can't decide on a restaurant to go to. It's been traditional that my family and I go to the Corvette Diner but I got tired of that (I still love the place though; waitresses are cool people and they aren't boring like most restaurants). I've been to Dave&Busters, Karl Strauss, and I was thinking of Gordon Biersch (but I'm not fond of the menu), Kaiserhof (not fond of the 3 course dinner), Anthony's Fish Grotto, etc.

I've got a taste for something tasty but I'm not really in the mood for Mexican food. I'm kinda in the mood for either grilled sandwiches, fish n' chips, or something tangy and zesty without onions. And no, I'm not doing fast food. Places like Hometown Buffet, IHOP, and Cocos are out of the question.

Something nice, decent, not too expensive, etc. (don't suggest Pat&Oscars....although I love their food and find their breadsticks addictive, I don't want that for my birthday dinner). And somewhere close to some scenery or a mall.

25th birthdays just scream out for Las Vegas.

Have them take you to Vegas. Make it a family outing. San Diego is just a puddle-jump to Lost Wages and the number of fine restaurants is astounding.

You never know, they might just bite.

Chicago Brothers Deep-dish pizza? DZ Akins Deli? I live in L.A. but those two stand out from my memories of Charger-town.

Or if you don't mind travelling a bit, Gullivers (near the John Wayne airport in OC)
