I was going to say SF Great Adventure, but for little kids, they might prefer a small park like either Knoebels in Elysburg PA or Idlewild Park (home of Storybook Forest). Those are smaller traditional family parks where you can kick back and relax while enjoying your time at the park.
No need for the mega $60/tkt stuff and $multimillion thrill rides that the kids won't ride. Just go to one (or more) of the many nice small parks that are in PA. It'll be a nice drive and you'll have a great time.
IF you do want a larger park (like if the kids were maybe 9 or so, then maybe Hershey Park might be the good transition park for y'all!
Have fun!

For little kids, definitly either Land of Make Believe. It's right on Route 80, Exit 12. It's pretty cheap, around 15 bucks
Another suggestion is what other poeple said, Knoebels. There's free admission and free parking. The place is pretty nice looking an inexpensive, except maybe the price for some of the rides. You have to pay for tickets at a counter, and rides cost a certain amount of money to ride. They come in this booklet and has .50, .20. and .10 cent tickets in it. Otherwise, they're some pretty classic rides that have some neat history to them. I've been there aorund 7 or 8 times since I was a kid, and I still like going there.

Hershey Park free candy for riding the tour and there is plenty of stuff for every1 to do. Almost every ride they have has a little or mini version of it including the stuff even miniatures (its the height scale thingy) can do like the train. Lines may seem long but they move very quickly. Lots of choices for food too (chicken fingers are a little pricy but they are worth every penny of it.)

Six Flags Great Adventure- lots of kiddie stuff - a brand new area this season, plus the little ones LOVE the drive-through Safari. Right now, since the weather is cooler, the animals will be more active. There's also a water park (Hurricane Harbor) right next door.

keansburg amusement park, keansburg, nj
runaway rapids waterpark, keansburg, nj
keansburg has mini rollercoasters, mini go karts, fun houses, and more things that little kids would like. they also have bigger rides like the spaceship, haunted houses, the double shot, and regular go karts.
runaway rapids has a special kiddie area where kids over 54" are not allowed. they have a huge bucket that dumps down on you. there is a lazy river and waterslides that little kids, bigger kids, and adults like.
keansburg is free..... unless you go on rides so if you arent a ride person you dont have to pay for yourself
runaway rapids 20.00 for 3hrs
its exit 117 of the NJ parkway
