I told my friend Joker one time, "If I wanted to be miserable, I could that by my self!"
He said "But darlin', when you were by your self, you weren't miserable!"
Can't buy me love, or passion, or magic! ; )

I am happily married and not rich. I do have an answer though. I would rather be single, happy, and poor than be with someone, and be rich and miserable. Simply because if you are miserable you are obviously unhappy with your life and your mate. A person can have all the money in the world and it will not fill the emptiness in their heart. If your mate is not fulfilling that emptiness then you need to find the right person the only person who can fill that space. Then being rich will be a blessing.

Being single not wealthy and happy because i can always find someone cause im happy anyways right. I will hate to be rich and unhappy because friends are fake and everyone around you is also. You will have to worry about alot of people in your life and not for you. Think about it that way.

This is a question of morality and depending on the circumstances of the situation a person might be happy being poor rather than miserable and wealthy. The way I see it for me regarding this question I'd rather be happy and with a low income than rich and miserable. Hope this helps.

I maintain this stance ----I would rather be single, poor and happy than to be married to someone who makes me miserable, no matter how rich they are--just to be married. Money isn't everything. I know lots of people who are in miserable relationships but believe they are better off since they "arent' alone" all the time. Such a sad way to think.

What good is being with someone whos rich but you're miserable?!? I'll go with single, not wealthy and happy. Being happy can overlook many things and gives you positive outlook on life...and being healthy, too.

Ideally I'd rather be rich and miserable. If I'm going to be miserable I may as well be rich, at least I could try and buy some happiness.

Life is too short to be unhappy. There is nothing wrong with being single whether man or woman. You don't have to be wealthy to enjoy life. Happiness is hard to find.

Why would you want to be with someone just for the money? Money does not buy happiness.

Don't Love Make a Diamond Shine
by Tracey Byrd

Tommy and Janey barely eighteen
Holding hands at the jewelry store
Eyes open wide staring inside
At the ring that they wanted for her

Mister bring it closer mister can we hold it
I think it's gonna fit just fine
As he slipped it on her hand Janey kissed her man
Don't love make a diamond shine.

Don't love make a diamond shine
It don't matter if it costs a dime
Dang thing looks like a million bucks
Sittin' on the hand of a girl in love.

A perfect fifteen carat is duller than dirt
If the heart don't wear it
With three little words it'll knock you blind
Don't love make a diamond shine.

--- Instrumental ---

There's a rich lady with a new Mercedes
Livin' up in a high rise
She's got a big ol' rock on her left hand
That looks cheaper than a Cracker Jack prize.

'Cause her man don't know that it ain't the dough
No all he needs to spend is time
And that big marquis'd be a laser beam
Don't love make a diamond shine.

Don't love make a diamond shine
It don't matter if it costs a dime
Dang thing looks like a million bucks
Sittin' on the hand of a girl in love.

A perfect fifteen carat is duller than dirt
If the heart don't wear it
With three little words it'll knock you blind
Don't love make a diamond shine.

I'll always put happiness above everything else. However, to be happy you need enough money to live on (I'm not saying being rich) so that you don't have to worry about things and therefore, staying happy.

I asked a question similar to this a few weeks ago. Most of my answers were single, poor, and happy. I'd rather be single, poor, and happy also. Having money isn't everything.
