YES, parents are responsible for their children's welfare and kids do not tell them everything they are up to. If a parent loves their child they will snoop and snoop and SNOOP until that child is old enough to move out on their own.

If I had a kid, I think it would be very hard not to snoop. But I wouldn't if they were 16 or so. Everyone deserves their privacy, even your own child.

Parents are responsible for their children until that child turns 18. If the parents feel there is reason, they have the responsibility to do so.
