Well i am in 8th grade and i got a TON of homework on the first day of school. Its like wow we just got back from vacation! give us a break! i also had to do a lot of surveys. almost every teacher makes you take this survey. its so annoying. why cannot they just give us all the same survey so we can photo copy them so we wont have to write our hands off

other homework included giving handouts to your parents that need to be signed.

Always expect homework.
Always come to class prepared (pencil, notebook, on time)
and...good luck in 10th grade. My 10th grade year rocked.

Depends on the teacher, and on the courses you are taking. You will probably get homework like covering textbooks or getting stuff signed.

Only if they're GOOD teachers and expect their students to work hard and learn a lot :-)
