Analyze the Creature's Personality. How Is He Like Any Human Being?

********************************************************
he is very much like a child that is just born. however he has
one thing that newborn humans do not have and that is the power of self movement.

human babies take time to learn about the world before they can explore it. this poor creature was forced into a situation that he could not understand and probally suffered a sensory overload.
**********************************************************************

How Is He Different? What Are His Goals? Are They Attainable?

*****************************************************************

he is different because to the majority of humans he was large of stature and hideous to look at. because people fear what they do nou understand this led to him being thought of as a monster.
also you have a shild's mind in a body that is very strong and in an enviroment where he will be tormented untill he fights back. this has all the makings of a great tragity

his goals are rather simple. to find human companionship and possibly some sort of parent figure to look up to.

these goals are in theory attainable but the chances of it are very slim due to the prejustice of mankind.

Potential For Good Or Evil?

**************************************************************
he had the potential for good, but the potential to be Evil was much stronger.

he had a childs mind in a body that was strong and able.

when removed from the threat of punishment by a parent or authority figure. children are very cruel beings.

(reference lord of the flies here)(you could also refference a book titled "Lets go play at the Adams'" but it is obscure and i do not remember the author.) either way both of these books are about the cruelty of un-checked children.
.
back to frankenstein.

the creature when provoked or scared was able to respond with deadly force. and because of the mindset of a child he simply did not understand death or regret. this made him the perfect tragic monster...a monster that did not have to be evil but was made evil by the intolerence and hate of others.

I agree that you should have read the book, but if you had read half I wouldn't have blamed you for putting the book away. On that note, the monster is a learner of things and is actually calm and wants to be "normal" like everyone else. His difference is that his physical form is horrific and that he seems to be more of an expresser in his feelings. The monster tries to obtain the feeling of acceptance among the humans. The last two questions are up to you. "Potential for good or evil" means if you feel that the monster is in fact better at being evil or good.
Good luck!! and try to read the books next time.

All I can really remember about it is that he is a naive mirror. He sees the pretty girl throwing pretty things into the water and thinks to make her happy since she was nothing but nice to him, that he should throw her into the water as well. He is neither good nor evil. He is completely reactive or responsive. If people seem hostile to him, he is hostile to them and the same for nice people...like the girl. But, because of his naivete, he does not know throwing the girl into the water is a bad thing. From his perspective, it is not. Almost like a very small child who doesn't know any better yet.

Reading the book doesn't take long and you could take notes as you go, which is the best way to do the report.

READ THE BOOK! Frankenstein is one of my favorite books of all time. There is a reason that this book is a classic. You're totally missing out if you don't read this book.

Find where the monster first appeared and read from there. Skip over scenes in which the monster is not present. You'll get it.
