Come on now, help me: Did Jack and Jill really go up the hill for a pail of water??

Question

Wouldn't water run down hill so they could just collect a pail full at the bottom without having to climb?? Sounds suspect to me. I think old Jack had other motives. Was anybody there and can help me learn the truth?

the well was at the top of the hill but yes jack did have other motives thank goodness Jill had her pills

Oddly enough this is based on a true story.

I got this off of the Internet: I read something on the rhyme Jack and Jill that it was actually a true story about a couple in Scotland by the name of Jack and Jill. Jack went up a hill to get a pail of water he slipped and fell and was killed, Jill so broken hearted died a not too long after. The site where this event occurred still exists and every year the villagers of that town like to reenact the story.

Maybe the cow that jumped over the moon was jumping overhead and saw something. Maybe the little dog overheard them talking.

if the story says that they went up thr hill...then they did.... if you have any other reason....then i guess it's okay
