Listen to someone who has lived long enough to say, gay is gay, straight is straight, and there is a lot of grey areas in between. Yes, some people will experiment with both sexes, and may seem to others to have switched teams by choice, through God, or whatever. But most people know what sex they will sleep with for the rest of their lives by the time they are in their teens. Homosexuality is not a state of mind, a choice, or a lifestyle. It's a true physical attraction for the same sex, no difference than straight people have for one another. Sexual orientation cannot be changed, even if you are able, and many do, to hide it behind marriage, and host of other types of relationships. One day, and I hope before I die, science will have discovered the true causes why sexual attraction comes in a variety of relationships among humans. Not to cure me or any one else of being gay, bi, straight, or whatever, but to laid to rest once and for all that the human race is no different than the rest of the animal kingdom, who don't sit around thinking about their sexual orientation, they just do it. To believe a gay person can become straight is to say sexuality is ONLY about behavior. SO, if you don't like Brussels sprouts you can simply eat them and that means you like them. Even if you're in the bathroom twenty minutes later vomiting and brushing your teeth to get rid of the taste, but you still like them because you ate them.
Does this sound ridiculous? If so, then you'd be correct.
Sexuality is NOT simply based on behavior anymore than eye color, hair color, or intelligence.
Just because you say you're an intelligent person, doesn't necessarily mean you actually are.
Best example of this is sitting in our White House.

Homosexuality is not an illness, you cannot be cured of it. Sexulaity is the strongest natural instinct a human being has, and it cannot be changed or removed. The second strongest natural instinct a human has is that of hunger... do you think someone can sure you of the desire to eat? Doubtful.
Many people have claimed they are "cured" of baing gay... all it means is that they have learned how to repress or ignore these feelings. But they KNOW that deep inside, the feelings are alive and well.

Everyone has there confusion faze, you just need to define what you are and who you are. But you can't be both it's straight or gay or bisexual, take some time to find yourself, think and imagine if you feel comfortable with the idea of same sex relationships, sex and being together with that person, weather you do or don't, you should know what your feelings are and you will know in time or after having an experience with someone and you will def define your orientation at that point in time. Good Luck!!!

Can short guys become tall? Oh sure he can wear shoes that make him look taller but at the end of the day we are who we are. It looks like I have to add more to this but I'll say it nice. If a women does not turn on a gay man there is no way he will turn straight. That's as deep as I'll go with that LOL

Best evidence is that sexuality is a spectrum. We all fall somewhere along a line between 100% Homosexual and 100% Heterosexual, and this is a biological & genetic thing.
Now if someone was in the 50% area - i.e. bisexual, but had lived only a gay lifestyle, they could theoretically switch to a straight lifestyle, and vice versa.
I strongly suspect that the religious "conversions" away from homosexuality were really of people who were conflicted bisexuals.

No, and trying for a long time can cause extreme mental problems. The rare people that make it out of "straight camps" are bisexual or become asexual (don't want any sex). Try getting stats from a straight camp, they won't give you real ones. But instead admitting it can't be cured (nor should it be), they blame the people for being weak.

If you have a choice in being either straight or gay, then you are bi. It's that simple.
Straights who believe being gay is a choice are most likely some level of bi -- they "made a choice" and didn't act on their "urges" so believe everyone else should be as strong and committed to whatever blah, blah, crap that they are. That's about the best that I can figure ;-)

Redcatt has it mixed up again . The odds are slim , but you cant group everybody together. There are some that do switch depending on the environment , affection for someone , and traumatic situations

Do you think you could ever become gay?
Sportin Jenny is correct there, if you think you can change, then we can.
SAME DIFFERENCE EXACTLY. I think of a woman's sexual organs and it just so "clinical." Not really nasty or gross although sometimes it can be, but cold, detached and uninteresting. So, do I think I could go from there to desiring it? Don't think so.
