Does anyone know the number of references most restaurants require on a job application? I am going to appy at Bob Evans and Applebee's and just wanted to have and idea of how many people I need

The typical amount of references is three... and these are personal references... they can be your pastor or priest, a teacher, a principal, a college professor, etc. Also, be prepared to give the names and phone numbers of all previous supervisors as well as your previous places of employment.

For most jobs, you would need 2 or 3. It depends on your previous work experience in the field you have chosen. If you are changing fields of work, you should still list several references, work as well as friends. However, get the people's permission to use their name as a reference. Especially friends. Work related, they will expect calls.
