It is about as true as saying "all black people like fried chicken" or "white people can't dance". Generalizations like that will always exist as long as there are differences in people. If no black people did this, then there wouldn't be common sayings like "the white man is holding me down". Some do, some don't, simple as that. There is a degree of white people blowing it out of proportion, but there is a proportion to blow it out of as well. Meaning that there is a reason for it. Then when people call them (any race, not just black people) out for using the race card when it isn't a racial issue they are called racists. There are racist people out there, so there are situations where the race card should be used, no matter what color your skin is. However, some people will always take advantage of the system so to speak.

Of course. I'm honestly not racist, but it annoys me when black people use this as a crutch to stand on. If any race when through what they did, they would use it too, but it seems like the black race is content to overuse it. It loses credibility when a black guy uses it about having to wait in line at the pharmacy. I am neither black nor white. I am Asian, and think that I have a neutral 3rd person POV on this subject. It leans way over to the blacks overuse it than to the racist white side. I love sports and this is evident many times a year. Barry Bonds is a perfect example. He doesn't realize that peole hate him more because he is a jerk than because he is black. Michael Jordan was black, and most everyone(except for fans of opponents) loved him. So YES, without a shadow of a doubt, black people intentionally overuse the race card.

The answer is yes. When a certain part of community is at inferioritry complex,, there is a tendency of pulling the race card.
This element of inferiority complex cannot just go away as the community is in minority. Ever noticed, the race card is always played by the poor community of the minority blacks, the few at the top level donot worry about the race card.

As an older black man I have never used the race card except in defense of my fellow brothers and sisters. I rejected affirmative action and other so called balancing tecniques that the government has put into place because I am a man of my experiences in life and that way no white person can ever say that my success is based on the charity of the government. Unfortunately our society has become less educated and they only use the race card as an excuse for their own ignorance.

That is a common sentiment amongst all races. And obviously if a lot of people feel that way, then there is some truth to it. It's not just limited to blacks, but I think a lot of minorities. The race card seems to always be the perfect scapegoat. I just hate it when people use the race card excuse and not address what really may be the underlying problem.

Of course they do. If it works of course you are going to use it. You angle for every advantage that you can get including claiming racism. Destroys credibility but short term gains are too attractive.
OJ Simpson would never have been acquitted if Cochran hadn't played the race card. The question of race was completely irrelevant but as soon as Cochran played the race card he was assured that the whole proceedings would turn into a three ringed circus so whether OJ murdered his wife was not the issue, whether Cochran could win by any means was. And that meant use the race card. Of course you loose sympathy when you do so and the consideration which you should get is sacrificed.

It's clear to me that whenever a Black points out the inequities that exist in our society, they are pulling the race card. Whites however are reticent in their willingness to see that the measure is balanced in their favour. However, when something happens to a white person it is the worst incident in the world. It is quite pathetic really, because the ordinary average white person is lazy in self education, refuse to accept that they are not the centre of the universe and that there has been many cultures and civilizations before the one that they are involved in and the process of the world is evolutionary.
Western governments in particular enjoy the benefits of the uneducated masses that they govern and wouldn't want it to be any different.
In my experience, the children of the elite are well educated and therefore appreciate the inequalities that I speak of, it is not however in their interests to change things once they ascend to their parents position and just maintain the status quo.

No, not all of us pull it intentionally... The thing is that White people just dont understand how it is to be black. And although racism sways both ways sometimes blacks pulling the card is warranted. I cant tell you how many times Ive been disregarded cause I was black... OH! I'll give you a good example... One day a young lady told me that Saks had Marc Jacob bags on sell for half price... So right after work I went to the mall to get one... I live in North Jersey... So i went to Saks and a Black associate was helping me..she said that all the bags werent half off but that they were selling pretty fast...Needless to say I still wanted one.Well her white female co worker just happened to have one of the bags with her ( a previous customer wanted to look at it,thus the reason it wasnt on display) so when the woman who was helping me went over to get the bag( obviously the white woman overheard me talking about the bag) She(the white woman) threw the bag on the floor and stepped on it....I was so hurt! because I thought wow! people are still hateful....The woman who was helping me said that this woman always acted this way toward black customers and her coworkers as welll. I have never ever purchased anything from Saks since... I dont think :)... I have so many more incidents that It could take all day listing them. We really get the short end of the stick and it isnt that we are mad at all white people but some of you pretend as if our anger isnt warranted. I mean we just got the right to vote 40 years ago and we've been in this country for hundreds of years. Give us a break!
Then you have the instances like I was at work a couple weeks a go and a supervisor started to say something to me but called me another girls name. Now my name is it's arabic... and this girl had a real african name I think she must had been african cause I ve never heard of that name!lol...and he says... You guys and your names! How insensitive.... WE name our kids names like Aisha and Jabari because we identify with them culturally... nobody wants more than us then to be treated with equal respect! We dont want anything from you but just make the playing field even so we can get ours.... Even as professionals there are glass ceilings.... You can only get this far.... and this happens alot in corporate america! Blacks with the same degrees as whites cant run a company cause some white guy/gal doesnt feel comfortable taking orders from a *****... it sucks... Try being me for one day... One day and I promise you... You'd rather have leprosy than be black!

Yes blacks love to pull the race card like when they say they didn't get a job or don't have any money, "The White Man is keeping them down" It is usually a lack of a desire to better themselves and pulling the race card is getting tired.
