What do you think about the link between Conservatives and terrorism? Why have they helped our enemies (corrected)?

Two questions; two answers.

1.) Terrorists kill Conservatives, Liberals, Independants, Jews, Catholics, Agnostics, Wiccans, Muslims, Men, Women and Children. My apologies to any group I left out, rest assured, the terrorists will include you if given the chance. Conservatives are about as closely linked to terrorism as Stalin was to Nuclear Disarmament.

2.) Why have they helped the enemy? Well, I suppose you could make that argument valid if you apply the logic that by sending troops to where the enemy is thereby exposing them you have made the terrorists job easier; that could be construed as help. It's weak, but, technically valid.

To address your commentary:

241 Marines were killed in 1983 Beruit, not 300.

270 People killed in Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. The US did not respond militarily but insisted on and eventually recieved the extradition of those responsible from Libya. Both men were convicted of crimes against humanity in a trial held in Brussels. They claimed the bombing was in retaliation of the 15 Apr 1986 bombing of Libya.

Bin Laden was engaged against the Soviets (remember them), we financed the Mujahaadin of which Bin Laden was affiliated, we didn't finance Bin Laden directly.

The Bin Laden family construction business is the largest in the Middle East, it would be impossible to hire a construction firm there that wasn't somehow related.

The Saudi government named Bush Sr. an honorable member of the Saudi Royal Family as tribute to the US response to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and for preventing the Iraqi advance into Saudi Arabia. It amounts to a very sincere, royal thank you.

Bush has not vetoed any monies earmarked for homeland security, ANY.

Bin Ladena swore to attack America in 1990. He was responsible for many attacks well before 2001, his determination was no secret and the report you refer to had no specific information in it.

Clinton had an opprotunity to launch an attack in Afghanistan in 1996 that would have likely killed Bin Laden, he decided not to when it was discovered that there was a swing set in the yard of the target building and the attack could likely kill children.

I don't believe Bush is an idiot, I don't blame Clinton, public opinion would have slaughtered him had the swing set been seen on CNN. What really helps the enemy? Splashing their propaganda all over the news. Refusing to place the blame on those using civilians as shields when those civilians get killed. Reporting clandestine methods of tracking terrorist financial dealings handcuffing authorities. The war on terror is not a partisan war. Quit complaining when a GI gets killed, that's what they pay us to do.

Before you start the slander, know that I am a GI with 22 years on active duty. I've been to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan, and Kuwait and I volunteered every time I went. I AM NOT a hero, simply a patriot.
