See your dermatologist and ask for a prescription for topical metronidazole. It will help significantly with your facial redness. I don't think you have rosacea. That is more common to the cheeks, and is very blotchy. When I was in the Air Force, my best friend was this white dude name Jeremy and he had the same problem. OMG! His face was always red and his neck too. It wasn't sunburn red, but just a pinky red, like he was always flushed. And the dermatologist on the base prescribed him topical metronidazole. It cleared up. It took about a month before he saw improvement, but by three months, he no longer had the red face/red neck look. Some other triggers are emotional stress, hot drinks and alcohol, and spicy foods. Assess your diet and discuss with your dermatologist as well.
Now, here's what you need to do at home:
Check all of your facial cleansers. They should be mild and not contain ANY alcohol!!!! I suggest you use a gentler cleanser like "Phisoderm." It's great for folks with sensitive skin. Also, I remember my friend Jeremy was told to use a good moisturizer while taking the Rx. He began using Oil of Olay daily moisturizer. You should as well. Also, check the products that you put in your hair. Hair gels with lots of alcohol could also make your redness problem worse. Okay, good luck to you, and see your dermatologist or family doctor soon to discuss whether topical metronidazole may be a good choice for you. :)

I sometimes get that for no reason at all. What works for me is a drink lots and lots of water. that works for me. try it and see if it works. It might not be the same because you have it all the time. It might also depend on how old you are because if you are a teenager, then it might just be that way for a while. If you are younger like in 20s then it might just be a teenager thing too. Like i said, i drink water but since you have it all the time it sounds like, that might not work. The only problem with drinking a lot of water is i always have to go to the bathroom!! lol

Sometimes confused with acne. Rosacea often shows as an inflammation and reddening on the nose, forehead, cheekbone or chin areas. Inflamed capillaries on the skin's surface give the complexion a red, blotchy or bumpy appearance. Rosacea is usually a genetic condition, but certain factors are known to aggravate the condition. Avoiding hot liquids, alcohol, spicy foods and temperature extremes will help calm and clear irritation.http://www.buynaturalskincare.com/store/skintype_skinconditions_rosacea.php

What is your nationality? It is possible that this is simply the way your complexion is and will always be.

Do you suffer from an acne condition or rosacia (sp?). See an esthetician and get their advice about your skin type. Maybe you are using a soap that is too harsh for your skin?

You need to determine if this is a condition on the surface or something about your overall compexion in order to understand better how to tackle the problem.

Sounds like you have Rosacia.(spelling?) It's just a harmless condition where your face is always red. You may want to talk to a doctor about what you can do for it.

Go see a doctor, could be roseacea. Regular use of the right medicine makes it go away.

A dermatologist might be able to tell you what's going on with your face and if anything might help.
